 Little Eaten Emergency Radio Install

 .....There was an issue recently with a control cable at Little Eaten WTW. Control between the Inlet and Main works was severed and the PLC's lost their data connection. Stirling we're requested to quickly survey the rising issues and install an emergency radio system.

.....Within a few hours, our Engineer's arrived on site to survey the situation and provide the best possible solution to regain control of the Inlet Works. The solution was a new temporary radio system and aerials.

.....We assembled the equipment and proceeded to install it at Little Eaten. We hired a high-level working vehicle to assist in the operation as this was the most efficient in terms of speed and cost. We then commissioned the system and checked all communications between the Inlet and Main Works PLC's. Everything was restored and working.

.....The work in total took over 7 days to repair, including identifying and repairing the severed cabling. This was another success story for the Elpro radio system's. Elpro and Churchill Radio system's are the main units we install within Severn
Trent due to their high level
of reliability. Also the ability to
quickly deploy the units makes
License Free radio's a valuable
tool for Stirling.
